Raytec are the World leader in LED lighting for security and safety. We provide a range of LED illuminators to create a safer global environment whether used in combination with surveillance cameras or as general area lighting. Our drive is to improve the safety of any area at night and to improve the performance on any CCTV system under darkness.
Founded in 2005 Raytec have two offices, located in Northumberland, UK and Ottawa, Canada. All Raytec products are designed and manufactured in-house, in the UK.
Raytec products are distributed to over 70 countries world-wide and have been installed from the Arctic Circle to the Jungles of Borneo.

Criminal 'Outfoxed' by Raytec IR and BBC Wildlife Cam
A BBC wildlife project got more than it bargained for, when Raytec Infra-Red lighting helped to capture an intruder live-in-act, in the middle of the night. The CCTV system belongs to BBC wildlife presenter Simon King, and was installed as part of a 'Fox Family Cam' project, designed to film a family of foxes living in London and stream live video 24-hours-a-day to King's website.
Raytec IR Powers Video Analytics
RAYMAX Infra-Red LED lighting has been installed at the heart of an advanced CCTV security solution featuring the latest intelligent scene analytics. The lighting scheme was designed and installed by CCTV specialists 'The Wire Guys' based in Toronto, Canada. Deploying lighting allowed the CCTV system to deliver intelligent security at a previously vulnerable 3acre construction storage yard in East Pennsylvania, USA. No light = no video analytics.
Headingley Cricket Ground
Raytec Infra-Red LED illuminators have been installed to protect Headingley Cricket stadium, home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. The stadium wanted to improve security on site ahead of a busy sporting season, both to reduce crime and improve the safety for visitors.
Raytec Lighting helps Military in Fight against Terror
A UK military site chose Raytec VARIO White-Light LED illuminators as part of a high security, anti-terrorism operation, concerning 24/7 vehicle inspection. To maintain the highest level of security at all times the military site must inspect all vehicles entering and leaving the site. Security staff are required to check all vehicles within a gated compound area for foreign objects and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
