LenelS2 was acquired by United Technologies Corporation (UTC) in 2005 under its UTC Climate, Controls & Security division (CCS) and ultimately was a part of the Fire and Security Products group. In 2010 UTC acquired GE Security, which was the parent company of the current Casi Rusco Picture Perfect access control system. As years passed, UTC also acquired S2 Security in 2018, and subsequently merged it with Lenel to form LenelS2. UTC announced the company's intention to separate its commercial businesses, Carrier, and Otis, into independent entities in November of 2018. In April of 2020, LenelS2 became a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), a leading global provider of healthy, safe, and sustainable building and cold chain solutions.
